NEW YORK PASTRAMI SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 200gm Barossa Fine Foods Pastrami, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Sour dough or Rye bread
  • 200gm Sauerkraut
  • 2 Dill pickles, sliced
  • 200gm Swiss Cheese
  • Butter
  • Russian Dressing

Russian Dressing

  • 1 Cup Good Quality whole Egg Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Horseradish
  • 1 tbls Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ Cup Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbls Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbls Parsley, chopped

Method

  1. To make the Russian Dressing, place all ingredients in a bowl & mix well to combine
  2. To make the sandwiches, layer a slice of bread with the pastrami, sauerkraut, dill pickles & cheese, place the remaining slice of bread on top. Butter the top piece of bread.
  3. In a frypan over a medium to low heat, place the sandwich in the pan with the buttered side down, once in the pan butter the other side of the bread. Cook until the first side is golden brown, flip the sandwich over & cook until the other side is also golden and the cheese has melted.
  4. Serve with Russian Dressing
